Matt Hefele partners with executive teams and financial leaders to bring clarity and structure to the PEO and employee benefits marketplace. With six years of experience in the PEO broker and HR consulting space, he helps organizations control workforce costs, strengthen compliance, and align benefits strategy with long-term financial goals.

As Partner and Vice President of Sales at Align PEO, Matt takes a disciplined, consultative approach to every engagement. He works closely with CFOs and leadership teams to evaluate existing PEO relationships, uncover inefficiencies, and structure competitive market comparisons that improve negotiating leverage. In a marketplace that can often feel opaque, he prioritizes transparency, alignment, and measurable results.​
Prior to Align PEO, Matt spent three years at ADP TotalSource and three years at Questco, where he consistently ranked as a top performer and earned multiple company award trips. His experience across national and regional providers gives him deep insight into underwriting models, pricing structures, renewal strategy, and contract positioning. That perspective enables him to advocate effectively for clients while aligning benefits decisions with broader financial strategy.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Labor and Employment Relations with a minor in Business from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a recipient of the Robert Krowler Memorial Award.
